OUR SPEAKERS

Gary gumbleton - Founder of capco group

“I started my career with a 10 year stint at Vodafone both in the UK and overseas. I made the move from Corporate Sales over to the wonderful world of Marketing, and have had a huge part to play in the creation of almost 3,000 videos since. Founding the CapCo Group has allowed me to use my skills of concepting and strategising content to help my clients achieve their marketing goals.”

Michelle carvill - Founder of carvill creative & author of “#get social”

Michelle’s mission is two-fold; 1) Educating leaders, leadership teams and game changers (whether technophobes or techsavvy) about the social landscape and the competitive advantage social media and digital transformation can bring and 2) Equipping leaders and game changers with enough strategic insight and practical tactics so that they can partake and communicate confidently. Her style, whilst no-nonsense, combines provocation, challenge and fun.

phil boland - head of channel @ newton europe

“Marketing can get me more excited than anything else in the world. Sadly it can also put me to sleep faster than anything else (and I'm not alone, the British public once voted Ad Breaks more boring than Tax Returns and Rice Cakes). That tears me up inside. As a marketer, the first thing you have to get right is: Be Interesting. What I'm most passionate about is taking that platform and working with my awesomely creative team to go to the next level, making that content really interesting and making our audience's day.”

SESSIONS

VIDEO CONTENT STRATEGY 101

A lot of us are guilty of considering video as a nice to have in our overall marketing strategy. The truth is it should be at its very core; a part of every campaign and present on every channel. Stats show that engagement with video as promotion far exceeds that of static text or images.

Know you need video but not what, why or how to do it? You need to watch this session. We will be guiding you through how to structure a video series, the types of content best suited for video, and the kit you need to DIY.

THINKING SOCIAL FIRST

Most people spend a huge portion of their day “living” in social media. Coupled with this, these platforms hold the key to their interests and behaviours. So why are we still trying to target them through email first?

This workshop-style session will walk you through how to approach building your marketing strategy and campaigns with a true “Social First” approach.

DIGITAL SHOW AND TELL

Newton Europe, a large Management Consulting company, are opening up their digital doors for delegates of Not Another Marketing Conference to showcase what a real-life website and digital overhaul looks and feels like. After deciding their website and surrounding digital experiences just weren’t cutting it, they recently undertook a huge project to get to where they are today. Before you start your own project, let Newton walk you through their experiences so you can see what you might be in for and how to best navigate obstacles yourselves.

No sugar-coating.

SETTING VISION, CREATING CONTENT STRATEGY & FINDING YOUR VOICE

Jim Bowes shares some of the tools that his agency Manifesto uses with clients to help them set clear visions and develop their content strategy - and how he's used his own content strategy to launch his podcast Alexa Stop! which looks at how technology is changing our lives.

10 MINUTE TALKS

To really maximise the value you get from the day, delegates have the option to pre-book a 10 minute 1:1 micro-workshop, taking place after lunch, with any of the speakers and experts present. The goal being you can walk away with tailored advice for your company.

Due to time, spaces are limited to 10 per speaker, so ensure you pre-book fast to avoid disappointment!

CHARITABLE GIVING

This conference is free to attend, however if you choose to you can select a “Charitable Donation” ticket type. 100% of these sales will be donated to One Laptop Per Child.

We are fortunate enough to live in a country that is so digitally advanced, but it’s important to remember that so many others are still lacking in the most basic of technology. Access to basic tech is vital for educating and connecting the next generation, so we are supporting One Laptop Per Child, a not-for-profit organisation that aims to provide children in the world’s poorest countries with a rugged, low-cost, connected laptop so that “they become connected to each other, to the world, and to a brighter future”.
